The basic concept of the game is to be handed cards adding up to twenty-one. Every competitor is given two cards. When a player is given a 9 or lower value card and an Ace they have been dealt a soft hand. When the blackjack player receives no Ace it is referred to as a hard hand. Once the cards have been dealt all players at the table, including the dealer, every black jack player is given the opportunity to make 1 of 6 actions:
Taking another card (Hit): When a blackjack player announces hit me the croupier will give them another card, if the addition of that card makes the total greater than twenty one the blackjack player will have busted and be excluded from the game, if the card makes the total to 21 the black jack player is the winner and if the value of the hand hasn’t yet achieved twenty-one they’re still in the game.
Keeping the hand you’ve been dealt: If a black jack player is satisfied with the hand they will hold. As soon as this has happened the croupier will show his or her cards and the player who has accumulated 21 or the closet to twenty-one will acquire a win.
Doubling Down: A black jack player might ask to double down which increases the wager by one hundred percent they have placed. Once you’ve taken this action you can only receive one more card. The specifics of doubling down are normally out lined by the blackjack table or betting house rules so prior to betting make sure you’re comfortable with the casino rules. If you’re betting at a web-based casino this is usually very simple.
